So, I love food. It is my number one favourite thing to talk about. If you love food, our friendship is off to a good start immediately. I love everything about food. Food is so comforting. I wake up excited about getting to eat and I plan my meals for the day right away.
I just plain do not understand people who are not ‘breakfast people’. How can you not be a breakfast person? I have visions of bacon, eggs, cereal, comforting and filling oatmeal. Danishes, French bread, and bagels, oh my. I do not discriminate, people. I often have dinner leftovers from the night before for breakfast. This is great especially if you have to leave quickly in the morning.
Then snacks. Oh, snacks, how I love thee. Again, I do not understand ‘not snack’ people. Because something really funky happens with my blood sugar levels when I get hungry (I invented the word hangry, folks). I almost always have a snack stashed on me. I am living for this everything (gluten, dairy, nut, soy) free Chocolate Chip Made Good brand granola bars from Costco – my only complaint is that they are too small. I will take any excuse for a healthy fruit or vegetable snack option. Snacks are so fun! Cucumber and hummus? Yes, please! Granola bars? Always. Dark chocolate? Yum!
Lunch. Always lunch.
Meals are best shared.
Lastly (excluding a potential ice cream indulgence) is dinner. I love dinner. I wish I could eat 7 meals right now. Warning: this is what happens when you write about food. Because it is definitely winter now, I have been craving chicken chili for an age. I made an Asian chicken stir fry with rice noodles last night. I could eat rice noodles for every meal. I especially love rice noodles with butter chicken sauce, chicken, and green onions.
Pizza deserves it’s own post, so I will more than likely put some words down about it.
I have been having some problems executing self-control where ice cream is concerned as of late. My favourite lately has been strawberry ice cream by Haagen Dazs. I found out yesterday that Haagen Dazs is doing a line of limited edition Christmas flavours. Sorry in advance, waistline.
